Bitcoin ATM Buy Fees

Bitcoin atm fees high at the moment

Anyone know if these fees fluctuate. I looked a month ago and it was like 5% to 8%. Today I looked and 13% is the cheapest. Some have up to 25% fees???

Bitcoin ATM fees - ouch!!

Few weeks back, I went to a local BTC ATM. BTC was $8200 on Coinbase. At the ATM... BTC price was $9100. Steep price for anonymity. Cheaper options out there instead of verify/ KYC?

Im getting really pissed about these Bitcoin ATM fees being wrong on coinatmradar. it's cost me over $100 already

ive been to 2 different bitaccess machines in new york with rates listed at 8% but were at 18%
so I decided to check all the rates and found another genesiscoin machine in Far Rockaway, Queens with listed fee of 15% but actual fee of 18%
hopefully some public heat will help encourage coinatmradar to change their publicly listed fees to the correct ones....

Bitcoin ATM fee question

I’ve been purchasing bitcoin from an ATM at a local store and its fees are 11% and that’s what it’s been in the past. Yesterday I purchased a small amount of bitcoin and when I checked my wallet it had taken around 20%.
Anyone have any idea what might be going on? Did the machine double the fee or is it lost somewhere else?

Bitcoin ATM fees

Hi everyone,
If you have used any of Bitcoin ATMs - pls help to enrich the information about the fees and limits.
You can find any Bitcoin ATM easily on the map http://coinatmradar.com, and if the information is missing - please send a message or simply post here with location and I will add it myself.
Thanks!

Bitcoin ATM fees, Lets discuss both sides.

My name is Trevor Laird, President and Founder of Cryptopickcanada, which is a Bitcoin ATM operator in BC, Canada. I have received a lot of comments and questions about what fees our ATM's charge and the whole idea of fees in general. I'd prefer to answer this on Reddit as it may get some discussions and ideas going. First lets break down the cost of running a BTM:
Unit Cost: $6500-20,000 per unit Liquidity in accounts: $20,000-50,000+ Shipping/Customs: $1500-3000+ per unit Licencing fee: 0-1% of all transactions Locating fee: $500-1000 per unit Space rental (mall/other): $500/month Shop fee (owned store/coffee shop): 5-10% of all Revenue (0.25-0.5%) Cash pickup: $150-400 per month
Total Hard Costs: $8500-24,000+ per unit Total liquidity in exchange needed: $20,000-50,000+ per small network Total Fees on Transactions: 1.5% average (base, no profit being made) Total Cash fees monthly: $150-750 per month (varies greatly)
So, as you can see, it is not easy nor cheap to get a Bitcoin ATM setup and running. This means in order to operate monthly and provide immediate access to BTC, a fee must be charged. In most cases people seem to understand and appreciate the continence and privacy protection that goes with using this system. Not to mention how easy it is to use the unit directly to pay others anywhere in the world with a simple QR code.
So the question that must be asked now is what is a fair rate to charge that supports both the growth of the BTM operator and the worth of the benefits to the end user?
I would like to hear from this sub reddit on this issue and get a feel for your thoughts. BTM operators feel free to chime in as well.

Bitcoin ATM fees

So I live in the UK and withdrawing cash from many of the exchanges is very problematic including SEPA payments, EUR conversions and all sorts of fees. I was wondering if a selling fee of 5.8% at a local ATM seemed reasonable to you guys? Fairly new to the whole thing.
Is this a good option or are there better ways to withdraw fiat in the UK?
