An Open Letter to the Cryptocurrency Community

When seeking assistance, I tend not to think about this community specifically. This letter is not directed at anyone specifically, but generally to anyone using cryptocurrency. At bare minimum, I hope this letter sparks conversation about the future as a community, and where we go from here. Through our highs, and our lows.
Today, I write to you from a low point in my life. Cryptocurrency improved my life, changed the way I think about assets, and how blockchain could improve on transparency of non-profit organizations. But today, I realize what is missing in the cryptocurrency space. Stimulus. Encouragement. Relief. A shoulder to lean on. Peer-to-peer transactions on a proof-of-work blockchain does not inherently provide this anymore. Proof-of-work typically is not profitable on an individual basis with the cost of electricity out weighing the reward. Proof of stake, still only provides so much, requiring capital to invest for a consistent modest return. Distributed Ledger Technology even, still needs some type of investment to create value and scarcity. The rich get richer.
I began to invest in crypto years ago. I don't remember when, but approximately around the 2017 bubble. I missed out when reading about it early into its conception, around when Bitcoin was around $250.00 each. When I found it, I was looking for money. I needed it to make sure my bills were paid, and I could eat. But at the time, I thought to myself, "that does nothing for me" and shrugged it off. I eventually, after a couple of crap jobs, I managed to get hired by USPS. One of the few jobs that I was actually gunning for. With my mother as an assisted living chef, and my father as an automotive mechanic, USPS fulfilled my inherited desire to help others. This helped stabilize my life with a solid income. And investing in crypto got me and my partner into our own house. I write this as a current rural letter carrier.
A couple of years ago, I got to see the inner-working of management among USPS. "Details" as a Supervisor and a position in Operations. I was shocked at how primitive the organization was. Some of the highest levels of management seemed to be merely making decisions of critical importance based on their personal interpretation of company policy, using data from incomplete resources, questionable sources, and with barely any computer skills to manage a business. Such as the lack of basic Microsoft Excel knowledge. Ultimately I did not seek a permanent higher management position, and instead reclaimed my career position as a carrier. I knew that this could be better.
Which brings me to Global Blockchain Post. And this is not where I originally planned on launching this idea. My vision is to save the post office, by replacing it. A decentralized equivalent. Consisting of workers only, managed by said workers by collaboration and voting. This idea is unfinished, as I am learning Solidity and Javascript in order to build it on the Ethereum network. This is now taking time I fear I may not have. In my time researching, I've created a colony, on colony.io and registered the domains globalblockchainpost.com and globalblockchainpost.io for future use. Global Blockchain Post Coin would have initially be pegged at $0.55 (current price of a stamp) in order to provide funding to workers and currency for participants. While development has slowed to a halt, we will be adapting to the times and changing our path to ensure GBP lives on.
Due to current events, Global Blockchain Post is pre-maturely launching its first project GBP Cascadia, a grass roots initiative to support those effected in the Cascadian Bio-region, currently and primarily in the State of Oregon, United States. We hope to provide any kind of support to those that need it, in what would have been our testing ground for limited decentralized parcel transportation services. If nothing more than a shoulder to lean on. Something that we believe the cryptocurrency community needs to show its good side, and drive adoption with those that have never experienced cryptocurrency before.
As it stands now, fire is approaching. While our risk is low, I still fear of losing everything. This in combined with rising economic costs, and COVID-19, our budget has been strained remotely supporting my now out of work family. I'm not the type to ask for assistance, but I have run out of options. I know that there are individuals can relate. I want to keep this idea going, even if I don't live to see it prosper.
I'm providing three options. I'll be on our Telegram group here if you want to discuss any of them: https://t.me/joinchat/CiYgHBr1L-U6AZ010TA8-g
Option 1. Soon, I will be attempting to provide liquidity of GBPC on Uniswap. This will be our primary way of building our community, via Postage (GBPC).
Option 2. Donate to our Colony with ETH or any ERC-20 Token. Donations are currently going to GBP Cascadia, a grass roots local initiative to support those effected in the ongoing wildfires in the State of Oregon. Our colony address: 0x7529A4eFcaFF037325CF4C9F00333D541fa04eed
Option 3. Support me directly. My situation is critical, but certainly not life threatening. But I don't want to lose what could be. I hope to build GBP into a fully Decentralized Autonomous Organization to provide work for thousands, and reassurance of parcel delivery for even more. Anything helps.

ETH: 0xCb62542562b5Bdcfcf9B504165d3840604146aC8

I wish all Oregonians and Cascadians the best during these difficult times. Thank you for reading, and please do not donate if you yourself are struggling. If you can't help financially, share this post on your social media. It would be very much appreciated!

Bulls Stamped Toward $12K Bitcoin Price as Weekly Close Approaches

Bitcoin price is making a strong push toward $12,000 with just 24-hours before the weekly close occurs

Despite multiple rejections at the $12K mark, #BTC continues to make higher lows and traders are buying dips at underlying support levels
Chainlink reached a new all-time high at $19.80 and Ether is struggling to push above $430
Typically, for Bitcoin (BTC), weekends are marked by reduced trading volume as day traders take a break and the CME Bitcoin markets are closed.
Experienced traders will also know that exchange order books thin out during the weekend, providing opportune moments for clever Bitcoin whales to exploit these gaps and sway the price through whipsaw volatility.
This Saturday things are different as the scenarios mentioned above are not deterring traders from a renewed push to the $12K mark.
If the current move to the key level fails, it would be the second time in a week and for some analysts multiple rejections at a key resistance level can be a bearish signal.
On the other hand, there are also an equal number of traders who will argue that multiple retests of a key resistance level heighten the chance that it will be breached on future attempts.
A few positives for Bitcoin price are: the daily chart continues to show a pattern of higher lows, the RSI is in bullish territory at 66, and traders show strong interest in buying into each dip, as shown by the rising purchasing volume on the daily timeframe.
In the event that traders can manage a 4-hour close above $12,000, Bitcoin will need to pursue a daily higher high above $12,068 and $12,123 then things will get quite interesting.
For the time being, we can see that the price is simply compressing into a tighter range within the pennant and drop the lower trendline should be supported by the high volume VPVR node extending from $11,730 to $11,500.
Typically a drop from such a pennant would warrant some concern but given buyer’s demonstrated interest in buying since July 28th and further back to March 12, it seems bulls will eventually have their way by flipping $12K to support in the short-term.
As Bitcoin fought to retake the $12K level, the performance from altcoins has been a bit of a mixed bag.

Chainlink (LINK) continues to lead the market, rallying 12% to reach a new all-time high at $19.80. #Ether (ETH) appears to be losing steam as it pulled back 2.2% and struggles to reclaim the $340 level.

Meanwhile, EOS finally managed to break above a key resistance to rally more than 18% and currently trades for $3.75
According to CoinMarketCap, the overall #cryptocurrency market cap now stands at $373.4 billion and Bitcoin’s dominance index is currently at 58.8%.

$1 of Bitcoin value created is responsible for $0.49 in health and climate damages in the US and $0.37 in China.

The rising electricity requirements to produce a single coin will lead to inevitable social crisis
Energy Research & Social Science Volume 59, January 2020, 101281
Abstract
Cryptocurrency mining uses significant amounts of energy as part of the proof-of-work time-stamping scheme to add new blocks to the chain. Expanding upon previously calculated energy use patterns for mining four prominent cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Monero), we estimate the per coin economic damages of air pollution emissions and associated human mortality and climate impacts of mining these cryptocurrencies in the US and China. Results indicate that in 2018, each $1 of Bitcoin value created was responsible for $0.49 in health and climate damages in the US and $0.37 in China. The similar value in China relative to the US occurs despite the extremely large disparity between the value of a statistical life estimate for the US relative to that of China. Further, with each cryptocurrency, the rising electricity requirements to produce a single coin can lead to an almost inevitable cliff of negative net social benefits, absent perpetual price increases. For example, in December 2018, our results illustrate a case (for Bitcoin) where the health and climate change “cryptodamages” roughly match each $1 of coin value created. We close with discussion of policy implications.

op: to say nothing of hidden hardware health costs, I bet jacking up electricity prices will only make it worse

Benjamin Graham’s views on buying gold during times of extreme inflation

Prefix:
I have been browsing this subreddit and many others and often come across many posts or comments advising to buy bitcoin, gold, or other assets which are seen as store of value investments. While we often feel our time is unique, it is important to remember that there is rarely a situation we come across which does not allow lessons from the past. As such, I strongly encourage you to consider the below arguments put forward by Benjamin Graham in his book The Intelligent Investor.
Why should you care what some dead investor from the 70’s thinks about our current situation? The intelligent investor is often considered the greatest book on investment ever written. It is Wareen Buffet’s (former richest man on earth) favorite book and has yet to be proven wrong through over 50 years of investments. I strongly encourage anyone who has not read this book but wants to invest and build their own wealth to read it cover to cover.
Section start:
Alternatives to Common Stocks as Inflation Hedges
The standard policy of people all over the world who mistrust their currency has been to buy and hold gold. This has been against the law for American citizens since 1935–luckily for them. In the past 35 years the price of gold in the open market has advanced from $35 an ounce to $48 in early 1972–a rise of only 35%. But during all this time the holder of gold has received no income return on his capital, and instead has incurred some annual expense for storage. Obviously, he would have done better with his money at interest in a savings bank, in spite of the rise in the general price level.
The near-complete failure of hold to protect against a loss in the purchasing power of the dollar must cast grave doubt on the ability of the ordinary investor to protect himself against inflation by putting his money in “things.”* Quite a few categories of valuable objects have had striking advances in market value over the years—such as diamonds, paintings by masters, first editions of books, rare stamps, and counts, etc. But in many, perhaps most, of these cases there seems to be an element of the artificial or the precarious or even the unreal about the quoted prices. Somehow it is hard to think of paying $67,500 for a US silver dollar dated 1804 (but not even minted that year) as an “investment operation.” We acknowledge we are out of our depth in this area. Very few of our readers will find the swimming safe and easy there.
The outright ownership of real estate has long been considered as a sound long-term investment, carrying with it a goodly amount of protection against inflation. Unfortunately, real-estate values are also subject to wide fluctuations; serious errors can be made in location, price paid, etc.; there are pitfalls in salesmen’s wiles. Finally, diversification is not practical for the investor of moderate means, except by various types of participation’s with others and with the special hazards that attach to new flotations— not too different from common-stock ownership. This too is not our field. All we should say to the investor is, “be sure it is yours before you go into it.”

Bitcoin 11 Years - Achievements, Lies, and Bullshit Claims So Far - Tooootally NOT a SCAM !!!!

That's right folks, it's that time again for the annual review of how Bitcoin is going: all of those claims, predictions, promises .... how many have turned out to be true, and how many are completely bogus ???
Please post / link this on Bitcoin (I am banned there for speaking the truth, so I cannot do it) ... because it'a way past time those poor clueless mushrooms were exposed to the truth.
Anyway, without further ado, I give you the Bitcoin's Achievements, Lies, and Bullshit Claims So Far ...
.
Bitcoin Achievements so far:
  1. It has spawned a cesspool of scams (2000+ shit coin scams, plus 100's of other scams, frauds, cons).
  2. Many 1,000's of hacks, thefts, losses.
  3. Illegal Use Cases: illegal drugs, illegal weapons, tax fraud, money laundering, sex trafficking, child pornography, hit men / murder-for-hire, ransomware, blackmail, extortion, and various other kinds of fraud and illicit activity.
  4. Legal Use Cases: Steam Games, Reddit, Expedia, Stripe, Starbucks, 1000's of merchants, cryptocurrency conferences, Ummm ????? The few merchants who "accept Bitcoin" immediately convert it into FIAT after the sale, or require you to sell your coins to BitPay or Coinbase for real money, and will then take that money. Some of the few who actually accept bitcoin haven't seen a customer who needed to pay with bitcoin for the last six months, and their cashiers no longer know how to handle that.
  5. Contributing significantly to Global Warming.
  6. Wastes vasts amounts of electricity on useless, do nothing work.
  7. Exponentially raises electricity prices when big miners move into regions where electricity was cheap.
  8. It’s the first "currency" that is not self-sustainable. It operates at a net loss, and requires continuous outside capital to replace the capital removed by miners to pay their costs. It’s literally a "black hole currency."
  9. It created a new way for people living too far from Vegas to gamble all their life savings away.
  10. Spawned "blockchain technology", a powerful technique that lets incompetent programmers who know almost nothing about databases, finance, programming, or blockchain scam millions out of gullible VC investors, banks, and governments.
  11. Increased China's foreign trade balance by a couple billion dollars per year.
  12. Helped the FBI and other law enforcement agents easily track down hundreds of drug traffickers and drug users.
  13. Wasted thousands if not millions of man-hours of government employees and legislators, in mostly fruitless attempts to understand, legitimize, and regulate the "phenomenon", and to investigate and prosecute its scams.
  14. Rekindled the hopes of anarcho-capitalists and libertarians for a global economic collapse, that would finally bring forth their Mad Max "utopia".
  15. Added another character to Unicode (no, no, not the "poo" 💩 character ... that was my first guess as well 🤣)
  16. Provides an easy way for malware and ransomware criminals to ply their trade and extort hospitals, schools, local councils, businesses, utilities, as well as the general population.
.
Correct Predictions:
  1. 2015-12: "1,000 dollar in 2015", u/Luka_Magnotta, aka time traveler from the future, 31-Aug-2013, https://www.reddit.com/Bitcoin/comments/1lfobc/i_am_a_timetraveler_from_the_future_here_to_beg/ (Technically, this prediction is WRONG because the highest price reached in 2015 was $495.56 according to CMC. Yes, Bitcoin reached $1,000 in 2013 and 2014, but that's NOT what the prediction says).
  2. 2017-12: "10,000 in 2017", u/Luka_Magnotta, aka time traveler from the future, 31-Aug-2013, https://www.reddit.com/Bitcoin/comments/1lfobc/i_am_a_timetraveler_from_the_future_here_to_beg/
  3. 2018-04: $10,000 (by April 2018), Mike Novogratz, link #1: https://www.bitcoinprice.com/predictions/, link #2: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-11-21/mike-novogratz-says-bitcoin-will-end-the-year-at-10-000
  4. 2018-12: $10,000 (by 2018), Tim Draper, link #1: https://www.bitcoinprice.com/predictions/, link #2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3AW5s6QkRRY
  5. Any others ? (Please tell me).

Question1.
What is your main reason for supporting BCH?
What are the top 3 unique advantages as compared to other mainstream cryptocurrencies?

https://reddit.com/link/chkr1q/video/19b9ytx3oec31/player
Jiang Zhuoer: I support BCH because BCH implements Nakamoto's design for Bitcoin. The title of the Bitcoin white paper is "A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System", Hence, Bitcoin is designed as electronic cash.
The ultimate goal of Bitcoin is to become a world currency, a currency that everyone in the world can use, to bring monetary freedom to the world, so that the money in our hands is not inflated, not restrict by the border, and not get plundered. To achieve this goal, Bitcoin needs to expand the block to accommodate more and more users.
Nakamoto also made a clear plan to increase the block size.

https://preview.redd.it/721dq9p6oec31.png?width=2521&format=png&auto=webp&s=02ca1e288becc7dbeb84fd2f588ded46c60b000d

https://preview.redd.it/wf5adir7oec31.png?width=944&format=png&auto=webp&s=751c9488c90b3a0789fa827ab15107266d57620c
However, in the expansion competition during 2014, the Core development team has been dissatisfied with the expansion of Sakamoto's plan, and eventually led Bitcoin to split into two currencies, BTC and BCH, in August 2017.
Subsequent developments prove that BCH is correct in the expansion of the dispute, during 2017 bull market, there was a huge congestion on the BTC network, a transaction fee reached a shocking thousand or even thousands of dollars, this conflicts with what Satoshi Nakamoto envisions.
In the following 2018~19, Core claims SW (Isolation Witness) and LN (Lightning Network) that can solve congestion problems proves its inefficiency.
isolation verification has only 1.23MB expansion effect

https://preview.redd.it/n4sm40zboec31.png?width=1114&format=png&auto=webp&s=9ef30f45e23c4fcae4f3d37a138268901eaeedd3
The lightning network is also almost useless. In the price increment during May 2019, the same congestion appeared as in the previous 2017 period has, and the transaction fee percentage has risen significantly.

https://preview.redd.it/0p3msm6woec31.png?width=697&format=png&auto=webp&s=fd23816baabd1019a22d96441af8e41844a15ce3
Transaction fee percentage has risen significantly in two price surges
It can be expected that in the next 2020~21 halving of bull market, BTC will once again experience super-congestion. It is estimated that a transaction fee will reach several thousand yuan or even tens of thousands of yuan. This method is definitely not going to work.
Nakamoto said: I am sure that in 20 years, the number of Bitcoin transactions is either very large or not at all.

To discuss about BCH TOP 3 unique advantages compare to other mainstream currencies, I think is:
  1. The right direction: decentralized + large block, high number of users
  2. Community spirit: rational and pragmatic
  3. Infrastructure: layered design, main chain trading & side Chain smart contracts, this do not interfere with each other. Let me explain in detail
1) The right direction: decentralized + large block, the most important goal is to have High number of users, even if many Core supporters focus on the stored value function, there is a need to have high user count support, if there are no users, there will be no value. The most typical example is the stamp. The supply of stamp is also limited, just like BTC, but is the stamp market still hot? Is the value of stamp still going up? Why is the limited edition stamp value no longer rising? The main reason is no user, who is still using the stamp Letter now anyway?
So high user numbers are the most important goal of a chain. However, the high number of users cannot be violated the rule of decentralisation. For example, like EOS, there are only 21 super nodes designed, the risk is greater because it is not decentralized and not resistant to censorship. You only have 21 super nodes, 21 companies or individuals operate. When a government sends a policeman to a node, asks to freeze some accounts.do you follow or not to follow?
There is a famous saying in China that “do not do more than you should". For example, people who don’t drink water will be thirsty, but people who drink too much water will lead to water intoxication. Adults should drink 2 liters of water a day, but if they drink, for a short time, 5 liters of water, it will be poisoned by water, produce hyponatremia, eventually lead to death if did not treated in time.
Similarly for block size, if the block is too small, as the BTC is only 1M, a transaction will cost around thousands of dollars during congestion, this definitely not feasible. But if the block is too big, as what BSV claims, a block needs to be expanded to 2G. Then every year, dozens of hard disks will be used for storage. To access the server, it will require very high CPU power, memory and processing power. Bitcoin will become like EOS, only left with dozens or even a few nodes. This method not feasible.
For example, recently the US government announced that it has banned the bitcoin addresses of two Iranians. When the government finds there are dozens of nodes and asks to block the address, should you listen to the government? If you listen, the government further believes that you are limited in speculation and disrupts finance. The government order you to modify the 21 million cap similar to ETH, and you can't listen to it.
Even if the government does not come to you, you only have a few dozens of nodes left. The hacker can launch a DDOS attack. paralize your entire network. You are known as the world currency. As a result, anyone can easily paralize you. Isn’t this a joke? ?
Therefore, BCH is such a moderate size that does not exceed the network hardware carrying capacity is the most suitable solution

2) Community spirit: Rational and pragmatic is very simple, the first is not to make empty promises, such as Core, while saying that to reduce the requirements of each node on the computer, reduce the price of node, so that the Raspberry Pi can also run the whole node. On the one hand, claims that every transaction is expensive, and there are no problems with thousands of dollars per transaction.
Second is to make the goal clear. Just like Deng Xiaoping’s cat theory, no matter black cat or white cat, only the good cat can catch a mouse. The goal of BCH is to become a world currency. As long as it is decentralized, it can improve the number of users. It is a good cat. Therefore, the community has little difference in the direction of development, and an improvement is measured by the ability to increase the number of users. This is an objective indicator, and the community is easy to reach an agreement.

3) Infrastructure: layered design, main chain trading & side chain smart contracts, do not interfere with each other
The original infrastructure design by Nakamoto is advanced, and it can reach very high transaction performance. For example, ETH now has a block size of less than 1M every 10 minutes. It is easy for a personal computer to run BTC's 1M block, but now a PC cannot run an ETH full nodes, thanks to the Bitcoin is based on UTXO design mechanism which is better than ETH's account mechanism.
Based on Bitcoin protocol, BCH use layered design. The main chain runs transactions with storing side chain data, so the requirement for the nodes is very low. The side chain nodes only run the smart contract data that they are interested in. If they don’t use, they don't have to run smart contract, unlike ETH, each node has to run all the smart contracts, so the requirement for side chain nodes in BCH also very low.
Therefore, the capacity of the BCH is larger than ETH. ETH is now congested and BTC is also congested. BCH can carry this part users who can’t stand congestion of BTC and ETH, and gradually accumulate its own users to meet a healthy cycle.

Bitcoin ETF details and price effects

For those of you who don’t know VanEck and SolidX have submitted their 3rd ETF proposal for Bitcoin. I highly encourage you read the proposal so you can understand how it may affect the prices of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. There was a massive public misperception of what the BTC futures would do to price which, in my opinion, led to the incredible rise and fall in Bitcoin’s price. Also, I would like to supply some topics you could present to SEC during their call for public comments.
Here is the ETF proposal as submitted on June 5, 2018. This initial document is what I have used to base the following post on.
Here is a slightly updated proposal that the SEC has requested public comment on dated June 26, 2018.
ETF vs Futures
A Bitcoin ETF increases Bitcoin scarcity and liquidity which is bullish for price whereas BTC futures contracts has no direct effect on BTC markets with the exception of removing longs. Since Bitcoin futures removes longs they are bearish for price. Let me explain.
The futures contracts introduced in late 2017 are cash settled, they do not directly result in ANY buying or selling of Bitcoin. They are contractually enforced bets on the outcome of price. Because they do not result in the buying (demand) or selling (supply) of Bitcoin they do not affect price directly. Before futures existed if a US investor wanted to go long on Bitcoin they had to buy Bitcoin (increase demand), there was no other option. However, with the creation of futures contracts Bitcoin bulls gained a new option for going long: Bitcoin futures.
It is somewhat understandable why an investor would go from buying actual Bitcoin via frequently hacked and regularly overloaded crypto exchanges to highly regulated legacy exchanges that don’t carry the risk of losing Bitcoin to a hack and have clear tax laws. Unfortunately this resulted in a loss of demand for Bitcoin as some investors moved from the physical market to the derivatives market. Also, the public did not understand the supply and demand implications of the Bitcoin Futures contracts resulting in the price runup and subsequent crash upon their opening.
The proposed Bitcoin ETF, on the other hand, will result in the buying and selling of actual Bitcoin. This means anyone with a brokerage account will have the ability to buy and sell Bitcoin indirectly through the ETF. It will have major implications for supply and demand and, subsequently, price.
I implore you to read the top link but for the lazy I will discuss some topics I find interesting in the proposed ETF.
Summary p.8-11, 53-57
Each share of the XBTC ETF initially represents 25 Bitcoins. This value will decrease as BTC are sold to pay fees associated with the fund. Shares will be created and redeemed in baskets of 5 shares by “Authorized Participants” using cash OR Bitcoin. This means any brokerage firm can buy or sell the shares in the ETF which represent actual Bitcoin. These brokerages can then offer the ETF shares to their customers allowing any average Joe and grandma to (indirectly) buy Bitcoin.
Here we can see the major implications of a BTC ETF. While it will not necessarily increase adoption it will increase liquidity. The ETF allows for the most technologically naive investor to buy Bitcoin. It also increases market efficiency as “smart money” can buy and sell shares to the SolidX trust using cash or Bitcoin, in other words, smart money can arbitrage. Interestingly, the ETF plans to do all transactions in the OTC markets…
Settlement via OTC markets p.39-42
The Bitcoin ETF plans to do all of its buying and selling of Bitcoin via OTC markets. If this is not possible they will look to general cryptocurrency exchange markets for settlement, specifically GDAX, BitStamp, Gemini, iBit, BitFlyer, Kraken (p.41-42). As they plan to buy Bitcoin in chunks of $500,000 or more they do not want to singlehandedly alter the spot price of Bitcoin. This is why they plan to use OTC markets. They have not named the OTC markets they plan to use.
Price Determination p.60
The price of Bitcoin will be calculated at the end of every trading day by the MIVS OTC Bitcoin Index (MVBTCO) which primarily aggregates price from several, yet to be named, OTC markets (p. 60-61). It would be nice to know who these OTC markets are but essentially the price of Bitcoin will be determined at the end of each trading day by aggregating the price across multiple markets. This will reduce issues with price discrepancy across exchanges.
At the end of the day Net Asset Value of the ETF is determined by multiplying Bitcoin price (obtained by the MVBTCO) by the number of Bitcoins held by the ETF and finally adding the value of any cash held (p.60-61).
Great Discussion of Risk
The proposers have a great discussion of risk, including the risks inherent to the security of blockchain (p.13-17) such as early investors (Satoshi?) dumping all their Bitcoin, 51% attacks, and collusion of miners.
They need to elaborate more on my favorite risk: forks. Bitcoin will fork again. One of these forks, like BCash, will be successful from a financial standpoint. Who at the ETF decides which is the real Bitcoin? Will they sell one of the forked coins, add it to the valuation of XBTC, or offer a new ETF...XXXBTC anyone? If you want to comment to the SEC, this is one area that needs clarification. No one wants their BTC ETF to decide to hold Bitcoin Diamond because of a bad executive decision.
Another risk is big after hours swings as Bitcoin is traded 24x7x365 but the ETF will only be traded during market hours. This isn’t a new risk but it leaves ETF holders vulnerable to market swings at times of zero liquidity.
A final risk is regulation and they have a great discussion of changing regulatory status on pages 27-28. They seem equally frustrated by the lack of clear regulatory guidance.
They have a good understanding of how Bitcoin works but look at p.36 for a comical depiction of a Bitcoin Miner.
While the XBTC ETF does not increase adoption directly it will indirectly benefit the crypto space. The increased visibility of Bitcoin and blockchain in general will give the public comfort in the space. They will no longer think Bitcoin is just for buying fentanyl and other drugs. With increased comfort will come increased research and investment. Hopefully the ETF is fuel for the next leg of innovation is this transformative space.

This past week, we saw mostly bearish moves in bitcoin below the $8,200 support area against the US Dollar. BTC price even settled below $8,000 and the 100 hourly simple moving average. However, the $7,800 area acted as a strong support. As a result, BTC started a decent recovery above the $8,000 resistance area and the 100 hourly SMA. Moreover, there was a break above a contracting triangle with resistance near $8,000 on the hourly chart.
More importantly, the price surpassed the main $8,200 resistance area (as discussed in the weekly forecast). Finally, the price traded above the $8,250 level and tested the $8,300 zone. A high was formed near $8,305 and the price is currently consolidating gains. An immediate support is near the $8,200 level or the 23.6% Fib retracement level of the recent recovery from the $7,884 low to $8,305 high.
Additionally, there is a short term breakout or bullish continuation pattern forming with resistance near $8,250 on the same chart. If there is an upside break above $8,250, bitcoin price could continue to rise towards the $8,300 and $8,350 resistance levels. The next key resistance on the upside is near the $8,400 level.

Proposed method to email crypto-coins directly.

Below are some ideas I have been working on to allow direct off-blockchain transfer of Bitcoin Private Keys while preventing Double-Spend and Counterfeiting . There is a reference to tamper-proof Physical Bitcoin as DA BOMB- Directly Available Bitcoin On Metal Banknotes. These Physical Bitcoins and their digitally encrypted representations are the basis for off-blockchain exchange of value. Off-Blockchain exchanges are completely private and as fast as sending an email.

FAST BITCOIN

Daily settlement between corporations, instant settlement on trading or funded shopping channels, physical bitcoin possession for investors .
Each platform which offers FAST BITCOIN will purchase a large amount of DA BOMB to power their digital envelope re-sale network. All networks will be compatible and fungible assets composed of.
When a customer places an order for DA BOMB I load a certain amount of BTC in various denominations onto a selection of bitcoin wallets, which are then manufactured as physical bitcoin.
This amount of BTC is the amount this customer can spend on the FAST BITCOIN network.
The Bitcoin the customer spends never moves on the BTC Blockchain.
The envelope containing the customer’s BTC is credited or debited a certain combination of addresses that contain a known amount of BTC, adding up to the exact amount of the transaction.
Transactions can only be made in ROUND NUMBERS of a certain resolution, such as 0.0001 BTC , and the resolution will be finer at a later date to account for the rise of value of BTC in the future.
The contents of a customer’s envelope will be maintained to allow for making change and to account for his spending or funding of his account.
The main issuer of FAST BITCOIN will be Satoshi Bitcoin Incorporated, with other platforms buying enough DA BOMB to issue their own FAST BITCOIN on their own shopping platforms.
Customers can always write to the platform and request that their remaining envelope balance be mailed to their physical address.
The envelope contents are tracked on a separate blockchain, the FAST BITCOIN blockchain.
Customers can use their physical bitcoin like paper money, or break the hologram seal and view the private key to use as regular bitcoin on the bitcoin blockchain.
Only TRUSTED NODES are on the FAST BITCOIN Blockchain. The Network is composed of the corporate members who offer FAST BITCOIN shopping at their websites, and join by invitation only. Large networks can fuel their own branded shopping tokens with FAST BITCOIN after paying a co-branding fee, or simply use FAST BITCOIN without re-branding to their own token name.
Software can equate all prices at a website to the token value of choice on the platform, so that the shopper may make purchases via FAST BITCOIN while referring to prices in stable fiat equivalent tokens, or re-branded token values.
The customer’s purchasing power varies with the price of Bitcoin, but the visible prices remain stable.
The customer may buy a StableCoin (not Tethers) to fund all or part of their account, or switch from BTC to StableCoin at will; or let the system do this for him. BTC going up, funding remains in BTC, BTC going down, Funding switches too StableCoin.
A purely electronic version of FAST BITCOIN will rely on a hardware device to store the private keys offline and always in encrypted form when connected to the internet.
There is object “A” : the FAST BITCOIN Wallet
There is object “B” : the individual private keys
The system works with a combination of Master System Key Encryption and Asymmetrical Key Encryption.
The Hardware device is called a SPLIT WALLET. It is a combination of a HOT WALLET and a COLD WALLET. The two halves of the split wallet can only communicate with each other when the device is unplugged from the device being used to access the Internet.
The Master System Key resides on the Cold Wallet and can’t be viewed without destroying the function of the Hardware Wallet.
To send bitcoin to a person on the network, the hardware wallet takes the addresses needed to add up to the desired amount and encrypts them with the PUBLIC KEY of the receiving device.
The BITCOIN CASH BLOCKCHAIN is used as a KEY SERVER to store the PUBLIC KEY of every device manufactured, linked to its registration number and owner identity. The OWNER IDENTITY is an EMAIL ADDRESS which is [[email protected]_BITCOIN.COM](mailto:[email protected]_bitcoin.com) .
The addresses are encrypted by the SYSTEM MASTER KEY , then by the RECIPIENT PUBLIC KEY and emailed to the above email address.
The whole network is sustained by a peer-to-peer email remailer network. Software on the machine used by the hardware device to connect to the INTERNET is designed to run a peer-to-peer email remailer node.
As well as sending the recipient an email via the re-mailer network, an entry is made on the BITCOIN CASH BLOCKCHAIN containing the double encrypted bitcoin private keys, recipient email address, and transaction identifier . This also contains the device registration number as part of the owner email address.
Thus even if the domain is blocked from sending email the information needed to use the bitcoin is available from the data stored on the BITCOIN CASH BLOCKCHAIN.
The value of Bitcoin Cash does not impact the cost of sending bitcoin, since the transaction sizes to record data on its blockchain are very small.

When FAST BITCOIN is sent to a recipient, he must plug his hardware device into a laptop, phone, or other internet device to download the keys to the device. At this time while the hardware device is still connected to the internet the just received FAST BITCOIN will not yet be available to spend. It will show on the device as STILL ENCRYPTED. The user unplugs the device from the internet and then transfers the amount from the COLD SIDE to the HOT SIDE of his wallet while offline. If he wishes he may leave this amount on the COLD SIDE or transfer up to the entire contents of the SPLIT WALLET to the HOT SIDE to enable immediate spending as soon as connected to the internet.
The COLD SIDE contains the SYSTEM MASTER KEY and decrypts the PRIVATE BITCOIN KEYS in order to enable spending.
The hardware device checks the bitcoin blockchain to verify the amount of bitcoin held by each bitcoin private key, and also checks that the private keys it contains map properly to the public bitcoin keys used to view the balance on the device when it is connected to the internet.

DA Bomb

Directly Available Bitcoin On Metal Banknote (Da Bomb)
Bitcoin Metal Wallet Cold Storage on BTC Blockchain. A Crypto-Currency version of money, which may be exchanged for fiat currency.
Other major cryptos such as Ethereum , LiteCoin, and Bitcoin Cash may be substituted for bitcoin without affecting the usefulness of this offering. These versions will come out later, using the same physical format. (hopefully patented)
The design of the card should be modified enough from any existing patents to be patentable itself. The manufacturing, loading and documenting of the card should be done by proprietary and open-source software. This process should be patented as well or be part of the same patent.
These are physical BTC coins, in the form of a metal card the size and shape of a credit card. The Bitcoin Wallet is composed of two sets of engraved alpha-numeric and QR codes highlighted by black ink. One set is public and is on the outside of the card. A pull-tab almost exactly like the kind on a soup can is removed from the front of the card to reveal the inner contents . This is the engraving of the private key which is required to spend the BTC. Viewing it or detecting the exact nature of this code is equivalent to ownership of the associated BTC.
The public key on the outside of the card is used to deposit to or send to the card. In normal operations the card would come loaded with a certain amount of BTC.
The cards will be protected by security features and the quality control process during their manufacture.
The cards will be dipped in a coating of compounds to indicate a unique identity for each card, with short lengths of coloured fibres and paint floating on the surface of the clear lacquer compound and creating a unique visual identity. Each card is photographed and the image file uploaded to a database with the blockchain address and item id from manufacture all associated together.
A label is created and affixed to the outside of the card. On it are the blockchain address, photo of the untampered card, and amount of BTC deposited to card.
The private keys are not retained in file form at the manufacturer’s facility, or recorded in any way.
Before the key is deleted from memory and fully erased from all data storage devices, the photo of the engraving of it is compared to the key via character recognition software. When photo verifies as true then key is deleted from memory. Now the card is tracked by my own “in-house” item id, linked in the database to the blockchain address which displays the public key, and the photo file of the card. The card is photographed twice, the photo of the private key is deleted just after verifying the engraving matches the private key. The photo of the exterior of the card showing the paint lines and fibre positions on the card is kept on file. The offline computer takes the photo of the private key, the online computer takes the photo of the card after dipping.
The card is meant to circumvent the horribly high fees associated with using BTC as a payment method. Possession of the card is deemed to be legally equivalent to the ability to spend the associated BTC available via the private key. The nature of the tamper proof and hack proof aspects of the card manufacture lends credence to the continued value of the card as it is passed through consecutive transactions. The fees which would have been normally paid to enable these transactions on the Blockchain, will now have been saved by the people utilizing the physical Bitcoin cards. The Bitcoin transactions on the Blockchain are enabled by paying fees to “bitcoin miners”, who use large amounts of energy and computing power to solve complicated mathematical problems in order to process transactions and also to earn newly created bitcoins, of which there will only ever be 21,000,000. The fees for bitcoin transactions have become so high that paying for an item with bitcoin wouldn’t make sense for anything under $280 or so; and you had better be rich enough not to care about the $30 to $75 fee to buy just about any size purchase.
Instead of this, cold wallets containing small denominations of BTC can be exchanged via strong encryption and sending password and wallet via different delivery modes; or by physical bitcoin wallets.
At any time one may pull the tab on the metal card and reveal the private key, in order to obtain control of the BTC for use in a different cold wallet, or an online wallet. You will now have to pay transaction fees as per your new wallet details.
There is an instant financial advantage as soon as a group of people trust the value of physical bitcoin in transactions. All the miner fees for each transaction done with physical bitcoin are saved by the group. These transactions are valued in BTC, worth real dollars if exchanged for dollars; but with the dollar value always changing.
Volatility is a fact of life with Bitcoin (BTC), but the market has always trended upwards if you wait long enough. And the value has often nose-dived as well, in an unpredictable manner. A lot of people are holding (or “hodling”) BTC as a very risky and speculative investment, hoping the price will go up.
There is a great demand for bitcoin and that demand is going to increase in the near future.
How will I pay to load the BTC on to the cards? The cards will be loaded on an “on-demand” order process. The cards can be made up to a certain stage, where they have been dipped in tamper-proofing but not yet labeled. Up to this point they can be any denomination (amount) of BTC. When the payment for the order is taken at the online website then the card is loaded, labeled and shipped to the customer.
Besides the metal coin wallets denominated in various amounts of BTC; there will be “piggy-bank” versions of the card available. The BTC is loaded onto the card via the visible wallet public key engraved on the front of the card. The card owner can be paid debts owed to him via the public key. The card owner can send any amount of BTC to this receive address and it will become associated via the blockchain with the private key hidden inside the card. To spend the BTC loaded onto the card he will have to view the private key and send it to the hot wallet he uses online. Technical advice about fees, security, hacking and safety will be available at the company website, as well as many other helpful resources.
The denominated versions of the card are identical to the piggy-bank versions except for the label. The label covers the “receive” address on the denominated versions, as no further deposits to the blockchain are needed. The label on the piggy-bank version doesn’t cover the public key address, has a photo of the card and the manufacturer’s ID number. It also has a link to the Blockchain.info webpage associated with the public key address. Anyone with this address can see how much BTC is associated with the Public Key shown here.
Thus the intact tamper-proof BTC Card can be used with confidence, as the public key can be viewed on the Blockchain by anyone. As long as the amount on the card label matches the amount shown on the Blockchain.info webpage then the card’s private key can be trusted. This renders the card a form of “trust-less” currency equivalent to legal tender in value and usefulness .
The card format and manufacturing process is tested to obtain a hack proof product. The private key is not detectable by examination or any technical means without opening the pull-tab. This is essential to prevent theft and fraud. The card can not be opened, viewed , and sealed again.
A card without a label would be suspect, a card which had been opened and re-sealed obvious. Checking the blockchain address reveals the status of the BTC in question in any event.
The manufacturing process is outlined below:

The engraving is deep enough to be permanent but still not detected while wallet card is in closed position. The alpha-numeric and QR code versions of the keys are engraved and inked.
After the engraving, the private key is deleted from memory of the engraving controlling computer. This computer is never connected to the internet. Only verified software is used on this computer.
A separate computer controls the camera, label maker, and database connection to the internet.

The same file is used to generate the labels.
Addresses are checked for BTC before coin Cards are offered for sale. A second stamp is placed on label when transaction confirms.
Coin is offered for sale at Amazon.com if allowed.
Coins can be exchanged as if fiat currency, with full confidence in BTC amount displayed on seal.
Sale price on Amazon will reflect BTC amount cost when loaded- possibly a great deal if BTC has gone up since loading, or actual cost of production plus 2%, plus miner fee and distribution fee.
Savings could be significant if BTC surges in value after coins are minted. coins are bought at time of minting by purchases of BTC at market price.
“Would you like to buy some free money?”
Demand for product is assured, as the value once for sale at Amazon increases over time. You will not be able to find cheaper bitcoin anywhere, sometimes. A small portion of my stock at Amazon will remain on sale at a very low price when the Bitcoin price rises. I plan on adjusting the price of my stock to reflect the current price of Bitcoin at the time; but not all of it, and not immediately. Every time the price of BTC increases by 10%, I will reset the price of my cards to initial values.
The initial values are the current price of BTC plus 2% , miner fees and distribution costs. As the market price increases after loading the cards, they are more and more of a deal for the customer.
This forms the basis of a great promotional value to sell the metal card coin wallets.
The profit.
Profit is calculated to be 2% of the BTC value when minted. Values from 0.001 BTC to 1 BTC are minted. This generates from $0.18 Cad to $180 CAD per card depending on value. I will focus on minting in the 0.01 to 0.11 BTC range, with profits of $1.80 to $19.80 a card.
customer pays: Cost of BTC when minted
miner fees, distribution fees, 2% over cost fee, Cost of manufacture. I estimate all costs not BTC or profit to be about $11 Cad per card.
Price of card is: BTC cost + 2% + $11.00 .
After purchase the card can be traded for cash, items or value of services. Miner fees are saved by every person after the initial purchaser of the card.
I want to mint around 1000 cards a day. This averages out to $18,000 profit per day.
The plan is to produce only lower value coin wallets until cash reserves are big enough to pay for larger denominations.
Customers can order from the lower denominations in stock or special order cards of any amount that they pay for at the time, shipped after production on demand.
This involves simply loading the customer’s purchase of BTC onto the card address and attaching the label.
As the price of BTC rises then stock available and loaded previously will be a special discount offer until the price resets after a ten percent increase in the BTC market value.
When selling the BTC coin metal cards at Amazon.com :

Card is dipped in clear sealer with paint filaments floating in dip tank. Also small lengths of coloured fibre are floating in the resin coating. The unique pattern formed is photographed and printed on label stored in database with item number. Private key is not stored.
Sell in vending machines in Japan, Airports,New York Subway System, Pizza Hut, etc.
On the Directly Available Bitcoin On Metal Banknote (Da Bomb), the blockchain webpage address of the public key is displayed. To check that BTC are in the account, just go to that page. Unless tampered with, BTC amount will match that shown on label.
Full label is artwork, denomination in BTC, photo and blockchain.info webpage address associated with public key.
This idea is patentable due to the unique packaging of the cold bitcoin wallet in a pull-tab metal card. In this writing read “coin” as “card” as well. The card is evolved out of a sardine can with a pull tab lid closure, with very short sides and pressed flat all around the edge.
The goal is to have a design where the pull tab can easily be removed by an adult. It should be hard for a child to open without being shown how. The card should be only slightly thicker than a regular credit card, and not open while in a leather wallet’s card holder. The pull tab should not open accidentally while being carried in a wallet. The pull tab will be manufactured so that it must be rotated by 180 degrees before opening. A small screwdriver, nail file or fingernail must be placed into a small slot to twist the pull tab into the correct position to open, before this it is restrained by a shallow metal lip on the top of the card.
Research and development are required for this idea to be a success. The manufacturing process, security features and bitcoin loading and labeling must all be tested and verified as hack and tamper-proof. The customer must never receive a hacked or empty or unloaded card after purchase and delivery.
Attempts at fraud by the customer will be obvious. Only Intact cards will be accepted for refund. Product must always ship in perfect condition, as customer can only return intact card for full refund, no opened, missing or tampered with cards will be credited to customer for refund, and this will be part of the agreement with the customer at time of purchase. Before refund the balance of the card must match the denomination on the label.
Notes on manufacturing process:

In the above I refer to not recording the private keys and deleting the server records as soon as the cards have been manufactured and checked for accuracy. please note that the recording of the private key for a certain amount of DA BOMB is required to power the FAST BITCOIN encrypted private key network.

thank-you

V-Dimension

VDS is a blockchain designed to uphold these rights of freedom: Freedom of Wealth, Freedom of Speech, Freedom to Innovate, Freedom of Networking, and Freedom of Thought. It is now available on nearly 60 exchanges.
Project introduction
VDS can be thought of as an application that integrates anonymous chat, anonymous money transfer, multi-group chat, over-the-counter trading, and advertising. It is the crypto currency of the decentralized consensus society, and it is not just a currency, but integrates almost all the applications that can be realized on the blockchain at present. Of course, because VOLLAR goes up and down in price, it can also be bought and sold on the regular stock exchange.Since it is a fully functional and brand new currency, it has unlimited upside in the future.
VOLLAR
According to the VDS white paper, VOLLAR is the crypto currency within the VDS ecosystem that activates VID and bids for VAD. Total coins are 2.1 billion, of which 100 million VOLLAR is used as initial ecosystem capital, 17,475,000 for BTC users’ 1:1 airdrop, 70,525,000 as resonance V-pool starting capital, and 12,000,000 as initial ecological construction fund. The whereabouts of all funds are fully transparent, irreversible and readily available.
Trust stamp and Blockchain business contract
Of course, for VDS, the most critical and core part is its Trust stamp network and Blockchain business contract.
Trust stamp network is a hierarchical promotion system. A VID is able to receive new VID fission rewards, and the rest Vollar goes to V-pool. All the above operations are computer code, not tampering and can be checked. (see VDS performance summary in the second half of this article for details)
VDS can implement intelligent contract technology, which is a series of codes that can trigger the result once the target is achieved. The principle is similar to vending machine, which is decentralized and cannot be manipulated and tampered with. So VDS has a strong space for development in the case of the trust stamp and business contract, there will not be a team to take money away. Reasonable and legitimate trust stamp network is also based on the specification of the business contract to achieve absolute security.
However, for those who doesn’t have VOLLAR, now is the best time to sign up for VIDs, because the market is still in a rational period. VIDs that were once worth nearly $140 can now be obtained at around $21, and the price of VIDs is on the rise.
What is purchased with $21 is a novel and complete product, which supports anonymous chat, anonymous transfer, group chat, otc transaction, advertisement release, etc. Of course, this "product" can do more things, like fission VID and make your own unlimited net profit, can also start the chain business contract to win the award.
The blockchain business contract is a technology that VDS will implement in the near future. Merchants will display their commodities. If the commodities are bought by a VID, their superior 12 direct relationship locked VIDs can get commissions from merchants. In this way, the buyers can buy the desired goods, the merchants can sell the goods, and the promoters can also get their due remuneration, realizing the concept of nationwide sales and benefiting everyone. The arrival of the blockchain business contract will further boost VDS usage and VOLLAR's price, as well as the cost of signing up for VID.
VDS performance summary:
  1. Fission (develop) other VIDs and get VOLLAR. In the trust stamp network, a direct invite reward of 3.5 Vollar is earned by the VID that sends the friend request. An-other 6 Vollar in system rewards will be divided into 12 portions of 0.5 Vollar each, and disbursed among the relationship-locked VIDs in the 12 levels above it, including that VID which sent out the invitation
For example, as VID, A invited B into the trust stamp network, and A got 3.5 Vollar awards. If B invites C to establish a VID, B gets 3.5 VOLLAR and a 0.5 Vollar. In this way, the VID-fission D recommended by C will enable A and B to obtain 0.5 VOLLAR, and the 12 levels below each VID can split new VIDs, which will be rewarded.
  1. If you want to publish a VAD, you can bid by Vollar. For the highest price, the AD will be broadcast to all VDS users.
  2. Secret chat can be achieved to hide identity and chat content. VDS anonymous chat and chat with previous design by the centralized group of anonymous has obvious difference, centralized team invented by anonymous chat system background has a data packet, the so-called anonymous chat is simply to hide the name.
Because VDS is a decentralized product, there is no server to store the user name and user chat data, so you can fully realize the real anonymous chat.
  1. Qualified VID can set up group chat, act as group manager, and group manager can organize activities, collect group entry fee, or act as otc and collect commission fee. If the group number of people exceeds 1000, new members will pay a commission.
  2. Anonymous transaction. Because VDS uses zero-knowledge proof technology, anonymous transaction and hidden transaction amount can be conducted between accounts to realize real wealth freedom.
  3. If the super master node is stored in 10000VOLLAR and remained, it can receive dividends from VOLLAR from time to time.
  4. VDS web browser: VID can be used as a domain name to create your own website, which can be used to highlight your personality or promote your products.
  5. Blockchain business contract, when VID users in the Trust Stamp Network make purchases through merchants that have activated a blockchain business contract, the 12 directly-connected VIDs above this VID in the Trust Stamp System can all receive the merchant’s blockchain business contract commission.
  6. Lightning network. Because VDS is a block chain project, users need to queue up on the chain for payment and other consumption actions and wait for miners to pack. Lightning network will solve this problem through technology, can be for everyone to complete a "lightning" as fast as the transaction.
Some of these features have been implemented, and more projects are likely to follow in the near future.
Summary
Since bitcoin became known to the world and the technology behind it, the blockchain, has come into view, VDS has long been expected for its extraordinary features and bright future. The blockchain technology behind VDS is just like the Internet, which was a new thing ten years ago, but with the mission to change the future, its "ticket" VID function will follow VOLLAR's price rise and become difficult to get, but now is still the best period. What we can do now is to buy as early as we can, enjoy the many features of this temporary era, and open a new window of wealth for ourselves.

BiShiJie Research Released Report On Decentralized Finance 2019 BiShiJie Research today on Oct 30 released a report on decentralized finance (DeFi) 2019 in partnership with DApp Total at the #Global Blockchain DeFi Summit# held by BiShiJie and CoinNess. Per the report, the value of the overall locked DeFi assets has surpassed $1 billion this year. As of the end of Q3, DeFi DApps had become the most active products on the Ethereum blockchain, with more than 132,000 users. Noticeably, 58% of Ethereum’s on-chain trading volume, around $466 million, came from DeFi DApps.

Bitcoin price is currently correcting lower and is trading below $9,500 against the US Dollar. The price is likely to decline further towards $8,700 before it could rise again. Yesterday’s highlighted key bearish trend line is intact with resistance near $9,460 on the hourly chart of the BTC/USD pair (data feed from Kraken). The price must surpass the $9,460 and $9,500 resistance levels to start a fresh increase.
Bitcoin price is facing a few key hurdles near $9,500 against the US Dollar. Therefore, BTC could dip a few points before a fresh increase in the near term.
